CI Steering Committee Endorsement Sandoval County Clerk
To members and friends of Corrales Indivisible,
After careful consideration and evaluation of all the candidates, the Steering Committee for Corrales Indivisible is proud to unanimously endorse Bob Perls to be the next Sandoval County Clerk.
For the members of Corrales Indivisible: the elected role of County Clerk is a key office, primarily in the role that individual plays as our chief election officer. The County Clerk is responsible for securing the integrity of our elections, helping to drive voter turnout, and modernizing the election process.
During this extraordinary time, we believe we need a County Clerk with strong technical and cybersecurity skills. Bob intends to focus on advancing election security and he’s got the technical expertise needed to make it happen. We know Bob to be exceptionally forthright and that he’ll bring a principled approach to leading an honest and transparent office. Bob is uniquely qualified with his many years as a public servant in the U.S. Department of State as an overseas diplomat and as a Representative in the NM State Legislature; as a founder of a successful small business; and, as a champion for open primaries and other election reforms.
We respect that some of our friends and allies are supporting other candidates, but we believe strongly that Bob is the most experienced and skilled candidate that has the best chance to win this office in the general election against a Republican candidate. We hope that you will consider this endorsement when each of you are making your own decisions about who to vote for in the 2020 Democratic primary.
The Corrales Indivisible Steering Committee:
“Thank you Corrales Indivisible for the endorsement. Your activism and commitment to transparent elections is critical in this day and age. I look forward to a long and productive relationship together as your next county clerk.”– Bob Perls
